In Not Under My Roof (Los amores contrapuestos) a lesbian short film from Spain, Miriam and Eva are a happy teenage couple. They are out to Miriam's mother who is liberal and understanding but Eva hides the truth from her own conservative mother. As time goes on Eva's mother grows suspicious and reads Eva's diary to learn the truth about their relationship. Although Eva's mother tries to break them up by imposing strict rules the bond that Miriam and Eva share is way too strong. A sweet tale strengthened by the performance of Gloria Obelleiro who plays Miriam's mother.
