ISABELLA and ULRIKA from MODUS (2015) - Lesbian Interest TV Series


Season 1 of Modus, a nordic noir crime series from Sweden features various subplots including a lesbian interest storyline about Ulrika who tries to find her girlfriend Isabella when she does not return as planned from a trip to Finland.

Ulrika gets concerned when her girlfriend does not arrive on the ferry as planned and she is not answering her phone. Ulrika goes to the hotel to find out what has happened and discovers that not only did Isabella not turn up for her massage but that she checked out in the middle of the night with no explanation.

Having no success in finding out what has happened Ulrika begins to wonder if Isabella has left her without telling her. She resolves to visit Isabella's parents even though she knows that she will get the cold shoulder from them as they have not accepted Isabella is in a lesbian relationship.

The Isabella and Ulrika storyline is part of a far more complex plot about members of the LGBTQ+ community who are being killed and features a small part by Liv Mjönes (from the Kiss Me movie) as Patricia, an out lesbian in a loving relationship.

Show Me Love (Amal) is a lesbian coming of age movie concerning two teenage girls, Elin and Agnes, growing up in a small town in Sweden who fall in love. Elin is beautiful, popular and bored with life. She has kissed a lot of boys but still hasn't found what she is looking for. Agnes, on the other hand, is friendless, sad, and secretly admires Elin from afar. When Elin accepts a dare one night and kisses Agnes she gets a lot more than she bargained for.

Show Me Love is still one of the best lesbian movies ever made and is a lesbian classic of first love angst. Note Show Me Love was released in some countries under the title of F__king Amal.
