Amina and Miriam Lesbian Interest Storyline
The World Unseen (2007) (IMDb 6.6) is a movie featuring a lesbian love story set against the back-drop of 1950s era of apartheid in South Africa. The romance centers around Miriam (Lisa Ray) a wife and mother who is attracted by free-spirited Amina (Sheetal Sheth). Their romance pushes the rules-that-bind and forces them both to face outrage and violent disapproval. The World Unseen was adapted by director Shamin Sarif from her own novel of the same name. Both actresses are stunning and were also paired in Sarif's later film I Can't Think Straight. The movie is worth a look but sometimes the acting disappoints.
