Traumtänzerin (Dream Dancer) is a lesbian interest short film (lesbischer kurzfilm) which explores the landscape of two young women, Charlie and Viky who are studying for their final exams. Charlie and Viky have an intense relationship but when Charlie's controlling father spots them by the lake and tries to prevent them seeing each other beyond school Charlie backs off and the relationship is sorely tested. The film was written and directed by Jeanne Crépeau and while it is more than 20 years old its subject matter is timeless in that it deals with the difficulty of deciphering the boundaries between friendship and attraction in the world of women who love women.

Revoir Julie tracks the love story between Julie and Juliet who meet again after 15 years of not seeing each other only to find that the spark that once existed between them is still very much alive if they find the courage to act on it. This is a slow burn movie as we witness the walls that divide the women break down so that their relationship can blossom.

Revoir Julie is an enjoyable movie with some pretty cute scenes between the lovers along with intelligent dialogue and a pretty location making it still a good watch especially for the more mature lesbian who is likely to relate closely to the difficulties of coming out in the 1990's.
