Marie and Floriane (Waterlilies, 2007)
Water Lilies (Naissance des pieuvres) is a lesbian interest film directed by #CélineSciamma of Portrait of a Lady on Fire fame that follows Marie who is desperate to join the local pool's synchronized swimming team. Marie's interest is not however solely in swimming but rather offers the chance to get close to Floriane. Marie eventually befriends Floriane and becomes a bit of gopher meanwhile Anne is upset that Marie is spending all her time and energy on Floriane. The action in Water Lilies takes place over the summer break in a Paris suburb and depicts the familiar story of unrequited love - a bitter sweet tale.Pauline Acquart (as Marie)
