Colette (2018) is a lesbian interest film based on the life of the famous French novelist Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette and features Colette's early attraction to women and later a more in-depth look at her relationship with Missy.
Dissatisfied with her marriage and frustrated that her husband has claimed authorship of her Claudine books, Colette finds sexual expression with ex-pat American Georgie. Later she forms a deep and enduring relationship with masculine outfitted Missy and the couple become inseparable companions even performing together live on stage.
