Lip Service is a two season British TV series from the BBC which focuses on the romantic lives of a group of twenty-something lesbians living in Glasgow, Scotland. The series revolves around Frankie, a 28 year old photographer played by Ruta Gedmintas who returns to Glasgow for her aunt's funeral after two years living in New York.
For Frankie it is a time to catch up with old friends, deal with the complexity of family relationships and confront her ex-love, Cat (Laura Fraser). Cat (29) has finally mended her broken heart and is ready to re-enter the lesbian dating scene with a feisty cop, Sam played by Heather Peace. But Cat finds that it is not so easy to put first loves out of mind especially when that love happens to have been with charismatic Frankie, her childhood friend. The series also interweaves the story of Tess, an out of work lesbian actress and her best mate Ed who is not so secretly crushing on her. This is one series that you don't want to miss.
