Gray Matters is a light-hearted lesbian interest story about Gray (Heather Graham) who falls for her brother's new girlfriend. Although she comes to terms with not being able to always have what she want she discovers that there are always plenty more fish in the sea in the form of one of her biggest clients Julia (played Rachel Shelley, Helena Peabody from the L Word). Sissy Spacek who is Gray's therapist tries to help Gray become the person she has previously been too afraid to be. Gray discovers that stepping out of the comfort zone of the close relationship she shares with her brother is the only way to begin her new life.
