In Clouds of Sils Maria a famous star Maria Enders (Juliette Binoche), is confronted with an uncomfortable reflection of a younger version of herself played by Chloë Grace Moretz when she is invited to play the older lover Helena in the planned revival of the lesbian love story drama between Sigrid and Helena that launched her career years before. Working closely with her twenty-something female assistant Valentine (Kristen Stewart) she develops feelings and desires she is not willing to acknowledge all the while being plagued by personal insecurities and professional jealousies eventually culminating in tragedy.
