Set in London during the years 1941 to 1947 The Night Watch is a lesbian interest film made for TV movie featuring lesbian ambulance driver Kay who leaves Julia to begin a relationship with Helen after rescuing her one night during the blitz. Fast forward three years and Helen falls for Julia who is a successful writer. However after a couple of years the cracks begin to show in their relationship as Julia becomes increasingly frustrated with Helen's reluctance to embrace her queer lifestyle meanwhile Kay is still struggling to come to terms with Helen's betrayal.
